Ready to set a Half Marathon PR? Look no further than the IMT Half Marathon Des Moines course! Your crisp, Fall morning will begin right in the heart of Downtown Des Moines where you’ll begin your run by crossing the river and heading towards the Iowa State Capitol. Runners turn back West towards Downtown and past the beautiful Papajohn Sculpture Park and art pieces valuing multi-millions. This is an important spot to pay attention as it is where your course splits off from the IMT Des Moines Marathon. Runners will head South towards the iconic Water Works Park (did you know there’s more acreage than Central Park in NYC?!). Once runners cross over into Gray’s Lake Park they will enjoy fan-filled trails and tons of support before heading back downtown to the finish line!
