Volunteering
Volunteering with the IMT Des Moines Marathon is an exciting way to share the fun and excitement of race day.
Volunteers are critical to a successful event. Every little task and minor detail ensures a positive overall athlete experience. Many volunteer opportunites are associated with the IMT Des Moines Marathon race weekend from October 17 to 20, 2024.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Silver cord volunteer hours have been approved for Des Moines area students.
Parking
Downtown Des Moines offers more than 30,000 public parking spaces including seven public parking ramps and approximately 3,100 stree parking spaces. All city-owned parking garages charge $1 per hour with a daily max of $10 (excluding special events). All downtown street parking spaces charge $0.25-$1.75 per hour from 9AM to 9PM Monday through Saturday. Download the ParkDSM app prior to race week! FIND PARKING.
