In 2026, the IMT Des Moines Marathon proudly celebrates the 25th running of an event that has brought runners, volunteers, spectators, and the Des Moines community together since 2002. This milestone year honors the past while looking ahead to the future of one of the Midwest’s most beloved running events.

To mark the occasion, we’re bringing back a throwback logo and vintage feel, adding a new 10K distance to welcome more participants into the celebration, and highlighting the moments, traditions, and people that have helped shape the marathon over the last 25 years.
